“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?” ― John Lennon
Who hasn’t t occasionally seen the sky to discover beautiful figures up there? We all occasionally have looked up to the sky and spotted cloud formations that resemble something, right?
Well, I discovered, researching to write this post, that there are people that not just occasionally are looking up to the sky, but they do it consistently, moreover they have a “Cloud Appreciation Society” (cloudappreciationsociety.org) whose Manifesto states, among other things, that “We think that they <the clouds> are Nature’s poetry, and the most egalitarian of her displays, since everyone can have a fantastic view of them.” A beautiful way to remind us of the poetry we can find in nature if we pay just a little attention to it.
Spotting the sky from my hotel room in Galveston, I discovered this cloud formation that reminded me of a dragon, which according to historians around the world, was invented by ancient cultures based on exaggerations of living reptiles, but what the heck, I thought, let’s let the imagination fly and let’s ride this dragon!
